The Allure of Literature, and the Captivating History of Democracy
Help me give my students the opportunity to learn from these incredible e-books! American Literature from 1850-1945, and contemporary authors from 1945-present & "Advances in Democracy" the story of democracy from the French Revolution until today!
I teach at a K-12 independent study school that offers an alternative to traditional schools.
My students come from all over San Diego, as they are very engaged in Music, Sports, Dancing, Acting, as well as many other passions.
They are very motivated, and come to class prepared to discuss the history and literature that I teach. They work collaboratively in groups, and we have lively discussions every day as they share their ideas with their classmates, and as a whole class.
I love how hard they work, how engaged they are, and the great attitude they bring every day! We've learned how to blog, create public service announcements on YouTube, and they have incorporated spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations that have all been very impressive!
My Project
In this digital age that we live in, these E-Books will give my students access to not only the literature that I assign, but deliver an opportunity for them to choose additional works by the most famous authors in history. I'm particularly excited about the E-Book that contains works from contemporary American writers.
The more enthusiasm for reading the better, and I'm excited to offer these great resources to my students with your help!
Your donation will be put to use immediately as my students delve into the works of so many great authors, and also have access to first-rate accounts of the trials and tribulations of democracy in the modern world.
