The Alligator class, my kindergarten class needs interesting and fun books to get hooked on books. With 28 students in my class big books make it easier for everyone to see the stories.
My kindergarten students are excited about school and beginning to learn to read.
They attend a Title 1 school in Oregon with most students on free and reduced lunch. I am hoping through reading interesting and engaging stories they too will have a life long love of reading
My Project
We need Big books, such as If You Give a Moose a Muffin and other quality literature to read during story time. With these books my students will get a chance to become interested in stories and discover how fun learning can be. Through exciting storytelling my students can see how fun reading can be. As the year progresses my students will start to read and write their own stories.
Giving the gift of books will help pass on a love of reading and what a great gift to give a child.
These books will be greatly appreciated and used. Kindergarten students should be surrounded in books!
