My students need to use the iPad mini to help research various famous people that are located in the world, and report about their accomplishments and share results.
A typical day in the classroom starts with the students reading. The students get into guided reading groups. End of the year the students will be able to increase their comprehension ability. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" relates because of many accomplishments in the world to learn.
The students are placed in the special education inclusion third grade class.
The students work very well together with partner sharing and small group lessons. The students enjoy participating in class projects and sharing out to the rest of the class. Our school grades ranges from Pre K to 6th grade. The teachers and students work well together. The students participate in daily specials such as Computer, Art, Library, Music, and Gym. During various months, the students work on projects that reflect on what they are learning in Science and Social class. The students had to put together a report on different types of leaves that are part of their environment, they had to research and bring in samples to show the class.
My Project
The Apple iPad mini that I am requesting would be used for researching famous people and their accomplishment in the world. The students will be able to locate specific people and write about them and be able to report on their findings. The students will be able to use the materials in our small group lessons working on their individual skills. The iPad mini will add excitement to learning and leave the students asking to research more on various topics.
My project will make a different because the students I work with do not get a chance to see and study many different types of people and the accomplishment that they add to the world.
My project will bring interesting facts to students that they never been exposed to in their learning. I would like to share and be apart of their learning about the importance's of getting a good education, and working in small groups will make the process easier for them to learn and share ideas.
