My students need a comfortable carpet for relaxation and collaboration. This carpet will provide students with a place where they can meet as a group and develop our classroom community.

My Students
My co-teacher and I have a diverse class with varied needs. They are energetic, creative, and excited to learn! Many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast at school.
Our students enjoy hands-on and project-based learning.
They are hard workers and look forward to new and fun things in the classroom. We need a welcoming place where we can come together, learn, and build our community. The carpet that we are asking for, will provide students with this space!
My Project
This project will make a difference by providing an area for our students to learn and collaborate. Students can discuss projects as well as develop our community which is needed to allow our students to feel comfortable and essentially motivates them to learn.
The classroom carpet will be used every day for a variety of purposes.
Each day students will gather on the carpet to work on community building. Students will also meet in large and small groups for instruction in reading and math as well as for independent, partner and collaborative work. The carpet space will provide a comfortable and welcoming area for students to improve their academic and social skills.
