Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How many times have you heard someone say or do something that was not OK? I am trying to teach my students the importance of recognizing another person's feelings.

My students are 8th grade students that love to learn.

They look forward to health class and the different adventures we take each class. These students are from a low income area and most of them do not have parent support. They need this class to learn about different facts and skills that will teach them how to behave in the real world.

My Project

My students need the "That's So Gay" activity kit, a self-esteem poster set, and a "Help! I'm Stressed!" DVD to learn the difference between right and wrong. My students will use these materials by taking part in different activities that make them think of those around them. Whether they are moving around the classroom, sharing their opinion or watching a video, these kids will learn the importance of how to treat others.

It is my hope that my students will help make our world a better place to be. A place where everyone feels welcome and we are all accepted as we wish to be.
