Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are the best! Our class is a second grade inclusion classroom in Providence, RI. They are kind, caring and love to learn. The class is comprised of 26 students of which 16 are regular education students and 10 are special education students. Students in our class come from many different backgrounds and each bring something special to our room.
These students are our future and deserve nothing but the best!
Please help us to give them all we can to ensure they succeed!
My Project
This DonorsChoose.org project has been created to provide students with a personal space to keep their tools for learning. We are asking for a chair pack for every student in our classroom. Our students work at tables in small group rotations. This practice provides our students with more personalized learning, however tables don't afford students the personal storage customary in traditional desks.
The chair packs are great for students to keep their library books, headphones, pencils, notebooks and more in a classroom full of excited little learners in a small space.
Our students are learning to be responsible for their things. These chair packs will also help them store their items and help them keep track of their belongings. Having their own storage area promotes responsibility of personal property.
Please consider helping supply our students with items to further help them succeed!
