My Students

"Ah music! A magic beyond all we do here," JK Rowling said. My students apply this quote in my classroom daily.

My 4th graders are very motivated by music and videos in the classroom.

They constantly ask to eat lunch in the classroom in order to watch educational music videos that we use in class. They attend a Title 1 school for low income students. We do not receive a lot of funding for technology resources.

My Project

My students have been creating educational parodies of current popular songs in every academic discipline. I would love for my students to be able to create videos of their songs. With these mini camcorders, my students will be able to create videos similar to the ones we watch in class.

Today's young generation is difficult to keep motivated and interested while in the classroom.

As a teacher, I feel this can be accomplished through the integration of technology. When I use music and videos in the classroom, my students come out of their seats and are completely engaged. Help bring this excitement to my students!
