Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students require collaborative seating arrangement to help them stimulate creative thought and foster teamwork in the classroom! My energetic 7th grade AVID, world history, and math students come from a tough and gritty neighborhood in Northern California. Our student body is a melting pot of cultures: African-American, Asian, Filipino, and Latino.
Many of our students live in poverty and have extremely difficult living situations.
Please contribute to our classroom project to help these students receive the very best education possible!
My Project
Our cash-strapped district has difficulty providing basic furniture to the students we serve. We need dry erase collaborative tables for our students to work with one another. Dry erase tables will allow students to create and explore comfortably. Students will be able to visualize and problem solve.
I want to provide my students with a learning atmosphere that motivates and engages them, as well as encourages collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
Dry erase tables will help my students meet these goals. They will be able to create, invent, and explore comfortably. I want to encourage my students to come to school ready to learn each day by equipping them with the necessary tools to become successful learners. A new dry erase table would allow my students to have what they need in the classroom to optimize student success.
