I am a School Nurse in Wilson County and have been working here for 11 years now. I serve approximately 3,500 students and it is very important to me to provide the best care possible. In order for me to do that, it is important to properly assess each of my students, and a stethoscope is vital in doing so. I use a stethoscope to assess heart and lung sounds which could indicate a possible asthma attack, pneumonia, bronchitis, murmur, or any irregular heart beats. I have many students who have been diagnosed with asthma and heart problems so the use of a stethoscope is a part of my routine care. My goal is to provide optimal health care and promote a better learning experience for each child I come in contact with. Thank you so much for your consideration to this matter.
