Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am lucky enough to teach 30 amazing second graders at an inner city public school in a high-need community in Maryland. Our school works hard to make sure we are challenging our students and keeping their mind on their future!

As a teacher, I work hard to make sure history comes alive for my students! One way to make history exciting is incorporating great, exciting literature that grabs students' attention from the beginning. In the past, I have done this through read alouds. But this year I would like to get class sets of some of our favorites, so that each student will have a book in their hand and continue to develop as readers as well as historians!!!

Magic Tree House books are the perfect answer to making history come alive. They are exciting, dramatic, and get the kids hooked on history! I know they will become better readers and more excited about history if they have these books during history lessons!

You will be inspiring future historians with your donation! It is amazing what children learn when they are motivated and excited, and these books will have a huge impact for my students!!!
