I teach a regular fifth grade class and four other classes of fifth graders during daily rotations. My assignment involves using technology to individualize instruction in mathematics, writing, and reading.

The headphones my students are using are gradually becoming defective or totally unusable. Many sets are held together with tape. As each set of headphones is unplugged, the noise level increases and the ability to focus and learn decreases.

A full classroom set of headphones would create an environment conducive to learning. Their minds are open and receptive, but distractions are becoming more prevalent.
