Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every child is different and comes to me with their own strengths and weaknesses. They are eager to learn and want to be successful but have difficultly fitting in and usually have low self-esteem. The students that I see have a wide range of needs that can vary anywhere from emotional, behavioral, or academics. The number of kids that come to me fluctuates throughout the year so trying to accommodate all of their individual needs as well as providing educational activities on all the different levels can be challenging at times.

My Project

The materials in this project will be used at both of the schools I serve. I need a paper shredder for each of my offices because I am responsible for a lot of confidential paper work that needs to be shredded when I am finished. I will use the dolls for imaginative play. There are several questions I ask such as "wipe the baby's nose" and " where are the baby's eyes." These dolls will help when I ask those questions. I will also use the sand for sensory play.
