I work in a rural high school in North Carolina, where funding for extra projects or materials is not available. My students, juniors and seniors, are extremely hardworking and deserve to have access to opportunities for success in an Advanced Placement setting. These are students who are challenging themselves and trying to better themselves and potentially earn college credit at the same time! Extra resources are not an option unless we can get help from generous donors through the DonorsChoose program!
These books will provide my students with more AP Calculus BC exam preparation materials. These resources are even more important for my students' success, as supplies are limited! Inside these exam prep books, there are problems broken up by topic and multiple practice examinations, which are excellent resources for my students. I would probably give the students a week or two to work on each practice exam, and then we would go over the answers and discuss any questions they needed help with or wanted to go over in particular. If they needed help with specific topics, they could always refer to that section in the book for more targeted practice.
This project will make a difference in the lives of high school juniors and seniors trying to take advantage of the Advanced Placement program and secure some hours of college credit through earning a passing score on the AP examination in the spring.
These are the students who are working extremely hard, doing everything possible to advance themselves and their futures early. Please support them!
