This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The struggle is real when it comes to test anxiety! Helping my students test like the champions I know they are and ease their test-induced stress means they would be able to focus on showing what they know. Having water bottles for hydration and stickers with positive messages can be comforting as testing requires a great deal of stamina.

Giving my scholars the items in this project can provide a focused feeling and bolstering a major victory in boosting their self-confidence as they take the Illinois Assessment for Readiness.

Simple things like dimming the lights, playing music, and handing out peppermint candies during tests are able to help students stay calm and stimulate their brains.

Students may often feel rushed and frustrated with time. Having a large digital clock to display helps those who are unable to tell time on the analog classroom clock. Students would be able to access not only the time, but also the day of the week and calendar date as well. All these things combined mean students don't need to worry about anything other than doing their best on the test!
