Help me give my students more higher-level and engaging texts! Many of my students are excited at the prospect of reading trilogies and series, and the “A Series of Unfortunate Events” books will keep my students happily reading!
This year I am delighted to be teaching an amazing group of Second Graders who are kind, intelligent, humorous, and just plain fun to teach! They especially love to read and write! They are currently having a blast writing their personal narratives as well as fairy tales. Collectively, the children love to read anything by Mo Willems, non-fiction animal books, and the Dog Man texts.
I teach a diverse group of students, including children from other countries and with special needs, but we happily come together to form a thriving and vibrant classroom community.
Outside of our classroom, I am proud to say that our school as a whole is an exciting place to learn! We are a bilingual school and while my class is taught only in English, the students have many opportunities to interact with Spanish speaking peers. I am truly appreciative to be at my school and look forward to working on more projects to further enhance the learning experience for each child.

Hello, Donors! I am very grateful to have a colorful and diverse classroom library for my Second Grade students. However, I would like to expand my selection and offer some higher level texts by Kate DiCamillo as well as the mysterious “A Series of Unfortunate Events” series.
One of the best gifts that teachers can give students is a life-long love of reading and it starts by providing children with exciting texts!
Many of my Second Graders have requested Kate DiCamillo books as well as the “Unfortunate Events” series and we are grateful for your support in providing these texts to the students.
