Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the most amazing second-grade class. My class is made up of over 75% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch. I have ten students receiving ENL services and 5 students with IEPs. They work so hard every day, they are always willing to take risks and are encouraging to their peers. These iPads will help students increase math and reading skills through the use of technology. Students love learning especially through technology. These iPads will allow teachers to see the growth that each student has made individually.
The iPads will allow students to engage in math and reading through reinforcers and games; practice makes perfect.
Students will love the use of technology at their fingertips!
Students will be able to utilize these iPads during small group instructions. Students will also be able to use these iPads for read aloud. These iPads will increase skill levels through technology, increasing engagement. Learning made fun!
My Project
If my project gets funded (fingers crossed) my students will have the opportunity to use technology to support their learning. They can listen to grade-level books on the iPads and be able to participate in class discussions. If students can participate in class discussions with their peers it will enhance their self-esteem.

Ipads can be uploaded with educational apps that will help bridge the gap with students that are behind or have learning disabilities. Apps such as ABC Mouse, Dragon Box, and online read alouds. The excitement of using an iPad increases the learning possibilities.
