Help me give my students some of the books on THEIR library wish list. This list will add student favorites to our picture book collection and help us grow our popular graphic novel collection!
There is something special that happens when a student picks up a book and flips through it's physical pages. Whether they're immersed in the story and illustrations of a picture book or a great chapter book, the pages of a book open up a whole new world of adventure for that student.
Students at our Academy of the Arts are book lovers and enthusiastic learners.
Many of the students are "regulars" in the library and I love having the titles they are looking for available...their faces light up when they find what they came in for. Many of my students rely on our school library to check out books. They have created "wish-lists" for me hoping to add the newest books by their favorite authors to the library collection and wanting to be the first to check these books out.
My Project
By purchasing the books selected here, you will be supporting a love of reading for our students.
The students visit the library daily and are so invested in the collection of books we have here.
They often share favorites they would like to see added to our collection. This is THEIR wish list and I would love nothing more than to be able to get these books in their hands.
