My Students

My students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and many are living in homes that are below the poverty line.

All of our students receive free lunch.

Our school is one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Philadelphia. Students speak a multitude of languages including English and Spanish. As diverse as our students are culturally, they are just as diverse in their academics. We currently have 1,200 students enrolled from grades K-6. Funds are extremely tight in the School District of Philadelphia, and our students need every resource they can get.

My Project

Childhood obesity is a growing problem in our nation. At my school we like to get our students outside/playing for PE class daily. With limited funds, equipment has become very scarce.

With your donation, new tennis racquets and tennis balls means students will have something to play with during class.

Physical Education class with the proper equipment drastically helps with keeping children safe while exercising/learning. The tennis racquets and balls will be used for relay races, stations, game play and ultimately physical fitness.

With your donation students will be able to play in a safe and fun environment. We can not do this without you!
