Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are part of a Title 1 school and serve high numbers of economically disadvantaged children. I am applying for funds to provide the opportunity for student to benefit from a tennis club. Students would need tennis racquets, tennis balls, ball cart, up keeping of the tennis nets, and supplies for meetings.
This provides students with no tennis experinence to little experience the opportunity to be active after school.
This will enhance their social and emotional well being to participate in a club.
My Project
Tennis is a sport that some of my students don't have the means or resources to be able to play tennis. For this club to begin a lot of materials need to be in place for the students that don't have the access too. Materials like the ball cart, tennis balls, and any racquets would benefit the students at a Title 1 school. This would enhance their education experience by providing a great way for students to work as a team, provide a positive environment, and allow students to be active. Any donations would benefit the students and allow for the club to be started.
