This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know what it's like to move your chair around the room, to adjust your seat, see what's going on, and do it without that screeching noise? It can be so much easier and quieter with tennis balls slipped on to the bottom of the chairs. It looks good too!

My students are eager to participate, follow directions and ready to learn.

They take pride in their surroundings and love their growing independence. Manipulating around a full classroom takes a few tricks. When they are able to get to their place in the room and adjust their vantage point just by moving their chair around easily its a simple and successful accomplishment.

My Project

By adding tennis balls to our chairs it makes a world of difference that you wouldn't imagine. It makes a simple task so much easier by gliding a chair across the floor. It also helps to decrease the level of noise that isn't productive in a learning environment .

I hope you might see the beauty in the idea of this project.

It's such a strange yet fantastic addition to a first grade classroom. They don't last forever, but those little tennis balls have a long lasting effect on our day to day life.
