Tender Grace Miniature Horse Therapy

My Students

My students are very special kids with unique needs. They have multiple disabilities, are non verbal and have severe developmental delays. My students are the hardest working kids I have ever met. They face many obstacles daily and conquer these with a great attitude while doing it.

Students in my classroom put a smile on the faces of those that meet them.

They are part of an inclusive school that gives them many opportunities to experience a wide array of learning and social opportunities.

My Project

We are so excited to have the opportunity to have a visit from Cathy and Sara the therapeutic Miniature Horse. We were able to experience this once and the effect she had on my students was absolutely amazing. My students have severe needs and are non verbal and when we met Sarah last time she had a positive effect on each of my students.

Sarah, the therapeutic miniature horse and Cathy brought out gentleness, calmness, communication and joy in my students.

The time spent with her will help my students work on their unique individual goals of communication, sensory regulation and physical control.

Having the visit from a therapeutic miniature horse in the school setting created a positive experience for my students and I want so much for them to be able to experience that again.
