I teach a bunch of high-energy, eager-to-learn kindergarteners. These children come from very diverse backgrounds and have wide-ranging skills and knowledge sets. As with all kindergarteners, these children need more immersion into the world of print. Specifically, it would be wondrous for them to be able to follow along with stories via a listening center.

Our kindergarten classes are full to the brim this year. We are trying to address each child's needs and build upon what each child learns. To do this, we are using more flexible groups.

In order to be better equipped to reach this many kindergarteners at their individual levels, we desperately need a listening station. This station will be used every day and will be reused each year. If you help us acquire a listening station, the children will be able to follow along with the print of their favorite stories and poems while other children are working with their groups on concepts and skills that require a bit more teacher support.

Your help will be a source of enjoyment for countless kindergarteners and will help them progress on the road to reading.
