Help me give my students exciting, brand-new books that will help them improve their reading and writing skills. Teens have requested these books specifically for our book cart. The book cart is available to sixth through eighth graders.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At our meetings, students animatedly explain their writing, gather story ideas, and respond supportively to other students' pieces. This multigrade club is open to all to attend virtually and in person.
Our student population is primarily from low socio-economic levels and many are learning English as a second language.
We welcome all students and encourage attitudes of positivity and peer guidance.
These students are actively writing stories, poems, and novels. They are increasing their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills by sharing their writing, reading the work of others, and offering and receiving constructive feedback. They use close reading and collaborative conversation skills and are advancing their teamwork and empathy in an enjoyable environment.
My Project
These recently published books will benefit my teenage students by engaging their imagination combined with quality literature that should connect with their lives.
My students chose these award-winning books for our middle school cart of books that they can keep at home or return.
Our writers are interested in learning more about others, such as Malala, to gain a global perspective and elevate their own writing. They will be able to find new ways to convey their own life experiences through writing from these role models. We are intrigued with the opportunity to offer interesting books for otherwise reluctant readers.
