My Students

I teach in a district considered to be inner city due to the population of low-income families. My students' opportunities are therefore often only offered through school. Furthermore, accessing technology outside the classroom is not possible for many of my students.

I teach in an inclusion classroom servicing general education and special education students in math.

The ability to use adaptive technology to meet the needs of all my students would be a dream come true!

In a world that is constantly changing, having access to technology is the only way for my students to keep up.

My Project

Currently in my classroom I have 9 chromebooks and a typical class size of 22 students. By adding these three chromebooks and a docking station, it would allow half of my students to learn digitally at the same time, while the other half works in small groups with my coteacher and me.

Ideally I would like to set up a Google Classroom for distance learning during this COVID19 pandemic.

Many of my students do have technology access at home, but having these additional materials would allow more of my students to learn digitally during these truly difficult and confusing times.
