My Students

My Kindergarten monSTARS are 21 of the cutest kiddos who attend a Title I-funded school. My kiddos come from low-income families. They started the year with low academic scores, far below grade level. It is “scary” how hard they are working to learn and become top students. They truly are monSTERIFFIC.

My Project

My monSTARS come into kindergarten behind the average academic level. Nothing is better than having fun playing games and learning at the same time. Doesn't every student love playing computer games? There are many great computer games that teach literacy and math. Why not learn while playing? Amazon Fire tablets would be a huge asset in my classroom. They would allow students to be able to work independently. They could be used during centers. It would provide a different opportunity for learning. The tablets may help students connect with the information in a way that nothing else does.
