I need the MACUL training so that I can use the Chromebooks that we have to the fullest extent possible to advance my students' learning.

My Students

My students have recently entered the world of one to one and they are so enthusiastic about learning not only new curriculum, but also new ways to explore that curriculum. With their Chromebooks, I am not only teaching students new things to do on their Chomebooks, but they are teaching one another and myself as well.

The energy that is created as we figure out new ways to show our learning is simply contagious!

From exploring flipgrid videos, google classroom forms and assignments to eventually podcasts is my dream.

My Project

By attending the MACUL (Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning) Conference, I plan to increase student achievement, engagement and techology knowledge through the current tools we have available to us or in unique ways to engage all students.

I am specifically looking for ways to incorporate podcasting to increase students' ability to relay their learning to the rest of their peers.

This will allow them to become the teacher which is a powerful experience. All students need to see themselves as valuable assets to their peers.

I am also excited about sharing this training that I receive with my colleagues to further influence learning in our building.
