My Students
I am a teacher in a school where the students are faced with many challenges in and out of school because of their socioeconomic status. In my classroom, I want to provide an atmosphere that is safe, positive and different in many ways. My students come to school eager to learn and bursting with excitement to learn everything there is to know.
I want to give my students the opportunity to reach new heights, and soar to unseen levels in their education.
I do believe this goal can be attained even as a first grade teacher by providing the students with the best instruction daily. I believe my job is unique and very important because I have the opportunity to set a strong foundation that will allow them to be successful in all of their educational endeavors. Teaching students has been one of the greatest pleasures in my life for the last six years. I am able to instill confidence in each of my students. My students know to be successful in today's society they have to show perseverance and work hard to accomplish their goals.
My Project
In this ever-growing world of technology today, getting my students tablets will allow them to enhance their knowledge and apply what they learn in class in their everyday lives outside of the classroom.
My classroom only has two working computers in it and I want to extend the use of technology to all of my students throughout the school day.
With the use of these tablets, my students will be able to take their learning to new heights by exploring different sites and enhancing different reading, math, science, and social studies skills. My students will be able to work with peers in groups to complete different tasks and they will have the opportunity to see things in real time with the utilization of the tablets. My students will be able to explore new subjects as well as master their standards by utilizing the tablets. Students will be allowed to utilize the tablets during small group instruction and complete quick assessments through the use of technology.
