This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
A Teacher Plants A Seed That Never Stops Growing," is one of my favorite quotes. The students in my class face challenges in reading. The students read 2 to 3 grade levels below their grade level.
My students are loving students, with disabilities such as learning disabilities, mild intellectual disabilities, and autism.
The students attend an inner city school in Atlanta, Georgia. The school is a Title One school, in which the population is 95% African American students. The students are on free and reduced price lunch.
My Project
My students would benefit greatly from receiving these tablets. This will help my students utilize their mobile skills while helping understand reading comprehension. Students would love different reading comprehension games, which will enhance their reading skills and ability to utilize new age technology while becoming better readers. The students will learn how to decipher different reading materials. The students will create technology projects using the different equipment, as well as participate in a Reading Comprehension Bowl against other students.
The students in the Interrelated Program face many challenges that students do not face in the regular education programs.
The technology materials will give them the opportunity to increase their reading skills and become successful readers. The students in the Interrelated Program, are integrated into regular programs, and must perform on grade level. These students are striving to become better readers. Having these wonderful technology will make this all possible.
