We teach in a city school and the students are in need of technology.
We have students that come from a variety of backgrounds.
They come from various neighborhoods in the city, of all different ethnic and economic backgrounds. Our school is a melting pot and we are trying to make our classrooms into "communities" where students can use technology to work together.
My Project
I am requesting 2 Epson LCD projectors so that information can be shared and all students are able to see. To go with the projectors some replacement bulbs just so we have them on hand. As well, I am asking for multiple portable interactive whiteboard systems. These will allow for students to get notes when they are absent because they will write on the whiteboard and can save. The reason for the quantity is because of the amount of white boards in my classroom.
I have asked for some heavy duty fans. Our school is very old and we are unable to have air conditioning. So it does get very warm. The chair is for students to sit in so they too can be comfortable.
Our students one day will graduate and will need to know how to use the technology that is provided to them.
They need to know how to use technology in school and then for later use in the real world.
