This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are is a quaint little school in a neighborhood that feels like a small town in a big city.
At our school, classes are small and everyone is treated like family.
The majority of students come from low-income households and have limited resources, yet we have an extremely active PTA. We take great pride in the level of parental involvement at our school. My students are bright and engaged. They love of school and have a love of learning.
My Project
I would love to use a wireless speaker in my classroom for whole group listening and community building activities.
This speaker can be used to play music, and listen to books and stories.
I can use the speaker to time my center and teacher directed activities by playing nature sounds from an app. This will allow fun and predictable transitions for the students.
My students also need replacement chargers for iPads. Our original chargers have experienced some wear. We would like to be able to charge all of our iPads at one time.
Finally, we would benefit from a storage center for our iPads, books, and center activities.
