Greetings from rural Illinois! Our school is situated in the middle of farm fields. After the financial crunches over a decade ago, a new facilitate was built that houses K-12, with three connected buildings on campus. It is a lovely facility, but we still struggle with funding to have up-to-date computer technology for each classroom.
Being a Title 1 school, the economic struggles are evident in our student body.
The community has created a Farmers Closet this year to help supply the needs of students who come to school inappropriately dressed or lacking in some way. It has benefited many families.
As a loving environment, focusing on creating future leaders, our desire is to provide the best educational atmosphere and tools to prepare our students for a successful life. Please join us as we try to equip them for the technologically-driven future.
My Project
In my classroom, Harding's Heroes are fortunate to have 6 desktop computers and 4 small laptops. The students are asked to bring headphones as one of their beginning of the year supplies. Many families do not have the resources to do this.
I am asking for headphones and several mouses to make my students technological experience better.
We use computers for typing skills, math fact fluency, math interventions, progress monitoring of struggling students, and more. It is challenging when the resources we do have are not functioning properly.
Please help equip our classroom for success! We would love to partner together with you in training up the next generation!
