My Students

My students come from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and have diverse academic needs. They are all energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.

My students are immersed in a workshop model classroom where they are learning the 21st century skills needed to be successful students and adults.

They are learning how to collaborate and communicate in a constantly changing digital world. My students need a classroom environment equipped with up to date technology in order to promote digital literacy.

My Project

These materials will be used to help students access digital content essential to our curriculum. An important component of education today is teaching students to use technology in a variety of ways. The materials I am requesting will be used across the curriculum to promote digital literacy and make online content accessible to all students.

The wireless speaker will be used to project sound for videos and songs related to content we are learning.

Most of our adopted curriculum includes an online component. From digital books to online science activities, a speaker will be used across the curriculum.

The iPad minis will allow students to photograph and video classwork and projects to post in digital portfolios. Each student has a digital portfolio that can be accessed by parents, enhancing the home to school connection. The iPads will also be used for learning based apps which give students opportunity to practice skills.
