My kids are special because they are KIDS! They are our future and deserve every opportunity that helps them meet their potential. With your help, they will be tomorrow's teachers, doctors, dancers, farmers, astronauts, scientists, or anything they can dream to be!
We live in a small, rural community with a high poverty level.
Many of my students come to school with a variety of learning problems including ADD and ADHD. My students come from various home situations including being raised by a single parent, grandparent, foster parent, or other family members. Many often don't have the necessary support at home.
Please help me make sure these kids get a great start in life. They need and deserve the same materials as other areas can afford!
My Project
We can all agree that technology is not only now, but it will be my student's future too. My students need at least one laptop to experience technology today.
Students need current technology to build a future on.
We have iPods (yes, iPods) and several iPads, but no laptops. The laptop will be used for researching, learning keyboarding skills, and a lot more. It can be used in all subjects including reading, math, financial literacy, science, and social studies.
A laptop can open opportunities to learn. I would love to have one to share with my class!
