My Students

Imagine a place where you are challenged to think creatively and critically. That is what Explorations is all about. Capable students working cooperatively to expand their knowledge and problem solving abilities.

My students are in grade 1 through 6.

They come to Explorations one day per week to study a topic in more depth. During their study they learn how to think flexibly and fluently. They strive for originality and elaboration. The higher level thinking skills of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation are taught and used. Problem solving and working cooperatively are areas we strengthen to help these students achieve all their potential identifies them to be.

My Project

Students will use the computer to do up-to-date research and share knowledge across the world-wide web. Students will use technology to teach others as they develop websites and games that are educational. Having more technology will allow more students the opportunity to fully explore this incredible world they live in.

This project will make a difference because my students care about the world they are inheriting from us adults.

They want to better understand its problems and limitations in order to problem solve new possibilities. Gifted students are unusually sensitive about real world problems and the access to the technology of the computer will allow them to reach farther beyond our classroom walls.
