My Students

I teach English language arts to a wonderful group of diverse intermediate school students, who are full of energy and eager to learn.

Our inner city intermediate school includes grades 5 and 6, with a wide range of learning styles and abilities.

We also have students new to the United States, who are learning English as a second language. The students in our school enjoy helping each other learn, and it shows! We need supplies to keep our classroom running smoothly!

My Project

Let's use Chromebooks to incorporate storytelling into our classroom. Students will have the ability to write stories, make videos of their stories and present them to the class!

I love giving my students the opportunity to creatively and artistically complete assignments and show what they've learned.

Using story writing, students will demonstrate their learning in both ELA and Social Studies. With these Chromebooks, students will be able to create animated videos to present to the class. For example, students can write a historical fiction story about events leading up to the Revolutionary War and create a Youtube video to present their story to the class. What a fun way to learn!
