Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager and ready to learn. They are willing to utilize whatever resources are available to them to ensure they are successful! We are a Title I campus and I am trying to ensure that every student has the best opportunity to learn.
These students are so sweet and I know that they are appreciative of all the support they receive.
They are aware of the goals set for them and are ready to meet the challenge! I know my students can meet their goals given the right support.
My Project
My students need these Fire tablets to help them expand their knowledge of the world around them. We will use these tablets to research the world around us, complete learning stations, and compete in group games that challenge their skills. These tablets will allow us to be closer to achieving one to one status with technology. The cases, screen protectors and charging station will allow us to charge the tablets efficiently, and keep them in good condition for many years to come.
We are not a one to one district with technology, and I would like to provide the same opportunities to our students that other districts are providing for their students.
With this set of tablets I will be very close to achieving one to one status for my classroom.
Hurricane Harvey hit our district fairly hard, causing us to miss several days of school. Our students lost power and experienced damage to their home environments from damage to their homes, cars and belongings. They have been resilient and sprung back from this event and I want to expose them to new and exciting ways to learn to encourage life long learning. Let's #REBUILDTX!
