The students in my classroom are hardworking and caring individuals. They consistently strive to better themselves, while helping those around them. They are aware that everyone learns in a unique way and work together to support each other through the learning process. Their actions motivate me to be the best teacher that I can be.
Each child in my classroom has their own story, background, and needs.
As their teacher, it is my job to do my very best to use their skills and strengths to promote the highest level of learning that I can. While it is not always an easy task, these students deserve the very best!
Our school is a tight knit group. Even though we are a large school, we all know each other and help each other navigate through the challenges that come with teaching. Our classrooms are often filled with specialized instruction, behavior plans, and accommodations that help us address the many needs that are present at out school. All of this makes it the best place to learn and grow. There is truly no place I would rather work!
My Project
For many students, the words best associated with math are stress, anxiety, difficuly, and frustration. By supplying my students with the Osmo educational game system, I hope to replace some of those words. The Osmo numbers game will allow my students to experiment with math concepts, develop a more solid number sense, and enjoy the process of learning math.
The Osmo will help students build their math confidence!
For many struggling students, practice is the key to success. However, when they are asked to practice skills that are different from the majority of their peers, they can become embarrassed. The Osmo games will allow them to work at their own pace without others noticing what they are doing.
This system will give all of my students the opportunity to find success in math.
