Our students represent a diverse range of cultures, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. These students have the desire and drive to succeed, but often need every support that the school and teachers can provide. Located in an urban area about ten minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, many of our students face challenges on a daily basis well beyond the regular childhood struggles of homework and friends. We believe that with loving support at school, these students are capable of rising above any challenge that may stand in their way.

We use a variety of learning approaches and activities to master concepts, including games, technology, projects, and debate. My students are eager to participate, and are always excited to use a different approach beyond the traditional worksheet or textbook page.
My Project
Much of our world today is digital, and by the time my students are entering the job field, proficiency with technology will be imperative for success. This is why providing Amazon Fire 7 tablets for my students to use in the classroom is essentially giving them a leg up in their future endeavors.
Much of today's curriculum and learning experiences are online, and without everyday access, our students are missing out.
In addition to keeping up with technology in our world, the use of tablets in the classroom also enables me to better differentiate instruction for students who struggle or need more challenge.
