My students need technology with Fire tablets and headphones to use in the classroom.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
The students in my reading classes are from low income homes. My students face many challenges in and out the classroom. I am trying to make sure the class has enough resources to give them them a balanced literacy program.
Despite the challenging home lives of my students, they come to school eager to learn.
As a reading teacher, it is my goal to foster a love for learning and reading in my students. This is more complex when there is a lack of materials.
The students will be taking their first state mandated reading test in the Spring but currently, I have no access to technology in the class. Technology is the wave of the future and the students are already behind without access. Fire tablets and headphones would allow the students to start practicing on the reading programs in improve literacy. Ten students would be able to practice their reading skills on the tablet a day. This exposure will greatly assist the students in increasing their reading skills by allowing them to read/listen to stories, practice comprehension and fluency skills. Students can work at their individual reading level during center time to increase their reading and comprehension skills.
