Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are ready everyday to learn something new and exciting things about world cultures and geography. We try to use technology everyday and I would like to keep teaching them the responsibilities of technology and the skills to use them. I want to prepare them for not only just world geography and culture exams but for the ability to learn about the skills to adapt and succeed in a technology based world. Giving them this experience will help them in the long run. Most of these students come from families that never had anybody graduate college and most of them are at risk of not graduating high school. I want to encourage their curiosity for school and to help them want to pursue high education.

My Project

I wanted to have a classroom iPad for research and being able to interact with maps and the Earth. I want my students to be able to use this technology to explore and broaden their horizon. I want them to learn responsibility and to take pride in their learning.

Teaching at a Title I school gives me limited resources, so I want to use this as my first Donors Choose ever to start transforming my classroom into a safe haven for these kids to come in and learn with no limitations.

They will really appreciate being able to use the technology in class.
