Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology is the pen and paper of our time. Technology is changing education and it is so important that computers are an integral part of each and every classroom.
My students are a very hard-working, intelligent group of 5th graders.
Our school is a Title 1 school. 100% of our students receive free lunch. Many of our families live in a high poverty area and face issues such as gang violence, illiteracy, and low family income. Our school has been excelling in the areas of math and language arts due to the hard work of our teachers, staff, and students.
My Project
I am requesting 1 iPad and 1 iPad case for my classroom. There are many things that I think an iPad would provide for my students. An iPad in the classroom would be a great source of motivation! An iPad would enable my students to receive equal access to the latest technology available to many children. It would be a wonderful chance to expose them and prepare them for their future. Lastly, it will be used daily as an important tool to support them in both reading and math. They can do research, work on writing, and get support in language arts and math.

For many students, experiencing technology only happens at school and we live in a time where technology is essential in our daily lives. This would provide many students the opportunity to advance both educationally and technologically!
