Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom are extremely hard-working, caring, enthusiastic and eager to succeed in school. They work their hardest to be successful in the classroom, and I want to be able to provide them with the resources necessary to have technology become a major part of their learning. Being able to utilize technology in our classroom, will make learning more accessible to all of the different learning needs of my students.
I work in a public school setting, where the students come from culturally diverse backgrounds, and as well are members of a highly populated urban community.
The school is made up of many English Language Learners, and as well represent other different languages and cultures. The curriculum in schools now can be very demanding on children, and in order for them to learn in way that is easy for them, technology needs to be highly incorporated into their everyday learning. In order to make these amazing students be successful, and as well keep up with the latest teaching methods, we need to make sure they have access to technology in this globally diverse world.
My Project
For students to be able to have access to chromebooks in their classroom today, would be a dream come true. As the world is ever-changing, we have become a place where technology in learning is highly valued. It is essential for teachers and students to move towards using technology in the classroom to make learning more effective, to be able to reach students on deeper levels, and to support all of their different learning needs.
Technology makes it possible for students to connect globally to other students all over the world.
Through the use of this technology, students will be able to collaborate with other classrooms, and take part in their own learning through the use of assessments. All students, especially English Language Learners will have greater opportunities to work with the materials they need to make them successful. Incorporating technology in the classroom will make students enjoy learning, and make school a better place for them to be!
