My students are supported by a school which places an emphasis on the integration of technology to power student learning. They are supported by parents who provide technology for them to bring to school. Finally, they are supported by their teacher who makes the effort to innovate and inspire his students.
My students have a passion for ANYTHING technology.
On a weekly basis my students are using laptops to write code for our LEGO robotics programs. Students are using their own devices to interact with cutting age instruction, and students are using laptops to create digital portfolios to share with loved ones.
This project will enhance everything we are doing in the classroom.
My Project
These Boogie Boards are amazing! Boogie Boards are innovative ewriters. These special boards will help my kids develop their communication skills and learn to express their creativity with the Boogie Board Scribble 'n Play. This unique ewriter motivates kids to develop writing skills, combine elements or draw whatever their imaginations desire. When kids write, they learn.
This innovative ewriter lets students sketch, write, or draw and then erase with the push of a button - no mess or wasted paper!
Currently we are using whiteboards and markers which is cool; but what's not cool is the amount of money spent to replace the markers, and the repetitive cleaning the boards. Not to mention my boards are stained and in need of replacement. These boards would also conserve reams of paper!
Time is a precious commodity in the classroom. When I pull a small group of students for differentiated learning, 99% of the time we are using our personal whiteboards. Seconds, sometimes minutes (we are talking about 4th graders who often are particular), are spent finding a marker/whiteboard/eraser combination. This product will save us hours of instructional time!
