Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Not many people are aware that South Texas does not stop in Corpus Christi. South Texas extends all the way down to the Rio Grande Valley.
Technology plays such an important role in today's society and students in my district want to use as much technology as they can in the classroom to make learning that much more interesting.
My school district encourages teachers to integrate technology and the students are so eager to use it everyday, however, it is difficult to use one tablet among nineteen students.
My Project
My school district is a B.Y.O.D. (bring your own device) district. Not only do they encourage students to use technology, but as teachers, we are highly encouraged to integrate it as much as possible in the classroom. My elementary campus has a mix of students from all social classes, some students have devices and some do not, which makes integrating technology a little difficult.
I would like to incorporate technology applications, such as KAHOOT as well as others that need more than one device, in order to engage and enhance student learning.
The addition of these 3 Kindle Fire tablets and protective cases would help boost the learning taking place and the use of technology will only, in my opinion, help my students remember what they have learned.
