My Students

Our students live in a very rural community in Colorado. They thrive on learning about recent technology and how it can affect their lives in school and in the future. Our school looks for ways to teach them skills that can enhance their future. We might be a small school, but our staff wants to provide our students with a quality education. Our students are motivated and want to learn new things. What an exciting way to reach our students!

My Project

My students will learn valuable skills and spark an interest in technology. Technology changes on a daily basis and my goal is to keep my students interested in the changing world and to help them understand the importance of technology in today's world.

Three years ago, my world changed, I started teaching technology three years ago and have seen amazing results.

I have seen students who were not motivated at all turn into children who are eager to learn everything from basic computer skills to specialized skills such as coding and Adobe Photoshop. My technology lab is slowly building. My students are yearning for a greater level of understanding technology.

Students deserve a chance to learn, but what a better way to motivate them than through structured play? Osmo allows students to learn coding through creative play. It touches not only on technology but integrates other subjects as well. Osmo can be used with multiple students, which encourages collaboration. Osmo addresses seven learning styles including visual, independent, social, logical, physical, verbal, and aural.
