My class is full of excited curious first graders! They are VERY excited to learn new things and use technology to further their learning. This group loves using technology, so I want to foster that knowledge by using tablets more in the classroom.
I teach in a Title 1 charter school where the students learn through hands on, interdisciplinary, thematic instruction.
The students in my classroom are an inclusive heterogeneously mixed group of youngsters-some of whom have Special Needs, are English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Gifted and/or on grade level learners. These students all learn together through many different inclusive learning styles.
My Project
This requested Samsung Galaxy tablet and case would help my students benefit from technology in many different ways. By having this tablet, more students could get their hands on educational apps and websites during both my math and reading centers. Some students could both challenge themselves with specific apps and/or websites while other students could supplement their learning with specific apps and/or websites to work on specific grade skills that those students need extra help with. The students could also work on blogging with the help of this tablet.
Your donations will make my classroom become a place where technology helps and reinforces what we are learning as well as pushes my students to challenge themselves to become the best readers and/or mathematicians that they can be.
