Help me give my students a great opportunity to take advantage of technology with new headphones as well has stay active with basketballs, soccer ball, and jump ropes.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are coming from a very low income section of the city, however, are not short on enthusiasm and energy. My students experiences outside of their neighborhood are limited. Coming from low income households causes many scholars to come to school lacking basic school supplies. I hope to ease that burden and get them off to a positive start to the new school year!
My Project
I have requested headphones to assist with using technology in the classroom. We have Chromebook for each student but limited access to headphones which are vital to prevent distractions in the classroom during computer time. Programs like Prodigy, IXL, and AR are easier for the students with the headphones. I’ve also requested basketballs, a soccer ball, and jump ropes for recess. Our playground equipment is limited so this would help during outdoor playtime. I’ve also requested colored paper and card stock to help with word work In the classroom. Last, but not least, pencils and a sharpener greatly limits the issue of students not having a pencil for class.
