My physics students do a lot of construction and design projects by building mini roller coasters, levitation trains, and bridges. I would like six levitation train kits for them to demonstrate applications of electricity and magnetism. We also need dry erase self adhesive sheets and eight mini hot glue guns for the project.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach physics at a high-needs school in Texas where I try to teach a lot of upper level thinking skills.
My students are fascinated with magnetism and levitation trains and would like to get the chance to explore this amazing technology.
My students can learn some excellent technology and thinking skills from this project if we can get the construction materials together. I plan on having my students build levitation trains and a power system to generate electricity.
The train kits I am requesting will have the materials for each class to build several train cars and a track. Magnets, car platforms, and track pieces are included. The kits have very strong neodymium magnets for creating the levitation effect. The students will also be customizing the train cars with personal designs using cardboard or papier mache and paint. We also need dry erase self adhesive sheets and eight mini hot glue guns for the project.
It would be a great opportunity for my students to learn high level thinking skills that they will need in college if you would donate the materials for this project.
