My Students

Every morning as the bell rings I watch excited third-graders pour into the classroom eager to talk about their morning, chat with their friends, and collaborate with their classmates. They are full of questions, creative ideas and ready to soak up all the knowledge they can! My students make up a diverse classroom community with rich backgrounds, patriotic military affiliations, and families from all walks of life.

When kids are excited and passionate about a topic they become sponges who soak up all the information they can get their hands on!

My students want to make choices about their learning and have opportunities to study topics that are most important to them. They want to utilize technology in creative ways to research and present their learning. As a teacher, I want to meet their needs as 21st-century learners by using technology to motivate them to think outside the box and unleash their incredible potential!

My Project

Students love using technology in everyday learning! We utilize computers daily for Google classroom, online math and reading games, research projects and accelerated reader. With so many fun and creative ways to learn, it’s important for students to have greater access to computers.

My students are noticeably more engaged and excited when technology is incorporated into the learning experience!

Additional classroom computers will allow students to read and interact with non-fiction and current events magazines online, conduct additional research on 3rd-grade learning topics and passion projects, and present information in fun ways using video recording apps. My students will love collaborating with their peers to utilize technology in new and exciting ways!
