My Students

My classroom is full of 2nd and 3rd grade students who are passionate about their learning but need some extra tools to help them make the strides that they are so excited to take.

The school that I am at has a staggeringly high poverty rate, and almost my entire classroom is comprised of high poverty students.

My students don't let this get them down, though, but rather they do everything in their power to seize every learning opportunity presented to them.

My Project

Last year, I was blessed beyond belief to receive an iPad for my room. The progress that my students have made and the excitement that they have felt about learning have been astronomical. The iPad has allowed me to differentiate learning among my students which has given each student an opportunity to be met where they are at. I hope to use this iPad mini as a way to connect devices and give more opportunities for students to interact with technology, receive instruction and support where they are at and to inspire their learning. This will be immensely important in a multi-age classroom where students are working at all different levels. I am also requesting a cover to keep the iPad mini safe.

My students have some disadvantages in their life but at the end of the day, all they want to do is learn.

They are passionate about discovering what they don't know and learning more about what they already understand. Please help make this a reality for them! Thank you!
